Alzheimer's Disease Research is tinged with pink. They are, in fact, all women the winners of the “Starting Grants” and “Art Therapy” Calls promoted by Airalzh Onlus, the Italian Alzheimer's Research Association.
Dr. Cristina Lanni (University of Pavia) and Dr. Benedetta Mannini (University of Florence) won the “Starting Grants” Call for Research Projects - funded with 150 thousand Euros each over three years - on prevention and early stages of Alzheimer's disease, following a translational approach to improve the integration between basic biological Research and clinical or behavioral studies. Dr. Silvia Fostinelli (IRCCS Centro San Giovanni di Dio - Fatebenefratelli di Brescia), on the other hand, thanks to the “Art Therapy” Call for Proposals, was awarded a 50 thousand Euros grant to be able to develop a Research Project on art therapy techniques in the treatment of people with Alzheimer's or Mild Cognitive Disorder.
Airalzh Onlus announces that the AGYR 2025 (Airalzh Grants for Young Researchers) Call for Proposals is now open - for which €300,000 will be allocated to fund Research Projects on early diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease, lifestyles, and prevention - and also the “Art Therapy” Call for Proposals, which will allocate €50,000 for the winning Research Project on the topic of Art Therapy in the treatment of people with Alzheimer's disease or Mild Cognitive Disorder.
