At Palazzo Mocenigo in Venice, two exhibitions that focus on the art of smell, promoted by the collaboration between the Venetian Fragrance House Mavive Spa and the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia.
Es-senze, curated by Pier Paolo Pancotto, is a multi-sensory itinerary composed of installations by 12 international artists who experiment with the use of the sense of smell and related sensory components in their creations. The Perfumery Art Exhibition Accordi di Profumo, in addition to being an opportunity for The Merchant of Venice to present the eponymous fragrance collection, is an invitation to rediscover the sense of smell by focusing on the great ingredients of contemporary perfumery, with an eye to sustainability and the future of the same. The exhibition celebrates the sustainable fragrance supply chain project, an extraordinary voyage of discovery of the ecosystem that revolves around excellent raw materials.
The new Perfume Agreements line is made with ingredients of certified origin that guarantee the tracking of their provenance, contribute to the livelihood of local farmers' communities, and help protect the environments from which they originate.
Both exhibitions boast the contribution of Givaudan - a world leader in the production of essences - and institutional partners such as the Chamber of Commerce of Venice, Rovigo and Delta Lagunare, Cosmetica Italia and Accademia del Profumo.
