The initiative is held to raise awareness on issues related to Alzheimer's disease and - as any other year \u2013 includes patients, families, caregivers, volunteers, associations and\ndoctors involved in this field.<\/p><p class=\"translation-block\"><strong>Airalzh<\/strong> has been present this year with a couple of events to raise awareness on the importance of research.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\"><span>On Saturday - <b>September 10th at 11:30 a.m<\/b>. \u2013 the meeting \"<i>Alzheimer's: what perspective?\"<\/i> will take place at the Istituto degli Innocenti (<b>Salone Brunelleschi<\/b>), where <strong>Prof. Sandro Sorbi<\/strong> (Airalzh\u2019s Past President), the six Airalzh\u2019s Researchers who were awarded by the Call for Proposals \u00ab <b>AGYR 2021<\/b> \u00bb (Airalzh Grants for Young Researchers) and President <strong>Prof. Alessandra Mocali<\/strong> speak.This will be a good opportunity to talk about the status of the Research on the disease, with a focus on risk factors and the importance of adopting a proper lifestyle, keeping ourselves physically, mentally and socially active.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Throughout the event, 20 \"<strong>special drawings<\/strong>\" will also be revealed. The works were created by <strong>Anna Sandri,<\/strong> who passed away last year at the age of 93 after fighting Alzheimer's disease. The drawings, carefully collected by her daughter <strong>Flavia Ongaro<\/strong> and her loved ones, recount the 18-year course of the disease.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Also on Saturday, but in the afternoon at 5:30 p.m., another meeting will be organized at the <strong>Istituto degli Innocenti<\/strong> : \"<em>Anna's drawings<\/em>\".
